Jason XIAO (Professor)

Cardiff University, UK

Jason Zezhong Xiao is a senior professor at Cardiff University in the UK, founder and director of the China Business Administration Research Center
(CCBR), and the founder and co-editor of the China Journal of Accounting Studies. Currently, he is a member of the editorial board of the British
Accounting Review, Journal of Applied Accounting Research, International Journal of Digital Accounting Research, China Journal of Accounting
Research, and Nankai Business Review International. His main research areas include accounting information systems and China's financial
accounting, management accounting, corporate governance and other issues. Professor Xiao’s research have been published in first-class
international and domestic academic journals such as Accounting Organizations and Society, Journal of Management Accounting Research, Journal
of Accounting and Public Policy, Journal of Corporate Finance, Journal of Banking and Finance, Accounting Horizons, British Accounting Review,

Zhijun LIN (Professor)

Macau University of Science and Technology,Macau

Professor Zhijun Lin received his Ph.D. in Economics from Xiamen University in 1985. He was the first person who received a Ph.D. in China since China re-opened its tertiary education in 1970s.    He is currently the Vice President of the Macau University of Science and Technology. He taught at Xiamen

University from 1983 to 1988. He was a visiting scholar at Stanford University and the University of Illinois from 1988 to 1990. In 1990, he taught at the

School of Management at Lethbridge University in Canada. He is a Professor and has been serving as a Dean of the School of Business and as the

Associate Vice President of Macau University of Science and Technology since 2015. He is a Member of the American Institute of Accounting (AAA),

International Institute of Accounting Education and Research (IAAER), Canadian Accounting Association (CAAA), North American Chinese Accounting

Association, American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), and Chinese Institute of Certified Accountants (CICPA). Since 1982, Professor

Lin has published more than 50 academic papers in Chinese and English in China, the United States, Canada, Britain, and Japan. He has also published 14 books and textbooks on accounting and translation.

Bin Lin is a Professor at Sun Yat-Sen University. He is also the Head of the Accounting Department of the School of Management at Sun Yat-Sen

University, Director of the MPAcc Education Center, Vice President of the Guangdong Auditing Society, current Rotating Chairman of the Chinese

Company Anti-fraud Alliance, member of the Advisory Group of the Internal Control Standards Committee of the Ministry of Finance and Guangdong

Management Accountants Association, Vice President of the Guangdong Provincial Internal Audit Association and Guangdong Assets Appraisal

Association, Guangdong Provincial Internal Control Association, and member of the Guangdong Provincial Federation of Trade Unions. In academic

research, Professor Lin has successfully supervised two prestige research projects offered by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, three

by the National Natural Science Foundation, one by National Social Science, as well as provincial and ministerial level projects from the Ministry of

Education. He has published more than 90 papers in more than 10 subject areas in high-level academic journals such as China Accounting and

Finance Review, China Journal of Accounting Research,Economic Research, Management World, and Accounting Research.

Shizhong YANG (Professor)

Yang Shizhong, Doctor of Management, Professor, Doctoral Supervisor. He is a Member of the Chinese Accounting Association, Academic Member
and Senior Member of the Chinese Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Consultant of the Internal Control Standards Committee of the Ministry of
Finance, Vice President of the Beijing Accounting Association, Vice President of the Beijing Chief Accountant Association. Professor Yang is also the
Vice President of the Asia Pacific Management Accounting Association (APMAA), Steering Committee Member of the Editorial Committee of Accounting
Research and the Deputy Editor of Economics and Management Research (Financial Management Edition). He has published more than 20
monographs and textbooks such as "Modern Enterprise Cost Accounting Model", "Corporate Responsibility Accounting", "Management Accounting
Foundation", "Market Economy and State-Owned Asset Management", "Guidelines for the Integration of Enterprise Accounting Systems", "Management
Consulting", and “Enterprise Accounting Information Quality". He has also published more than 60 papers in various professional journals such as

Gary Tian is a Professor of Finance in the Department of Applied Finance, Macquarie University. He is the deputy editor of Accounting and Finance. He

was a former Professor and Director of HDR and Research in the Department of Finance and founding Director of the Centre of Business Research in

China at Deakin Business School. He was also a former Professor of Finance and Director of Chinese Commerce Research Centre at Wollongong

University. His research interests focus on corporate finance and governance in Chinese capital markets including political connections, CEO

compensation, bank lending and informal finance, investment efficiency and family firm and audit opinions and auditor choice.

Over the last seven years he has published 14 Australian ABDC A* ranked journal articles along with many A ranked articles including Management

Science (2019), Journal of Corporate Finance (2011, 2012, 2013, 2015, 2016, 2017), Journal of Banking and Finance (2015, 2016, 2018 and two

papers in 2019), Auditing: A Journal of Practice and Theory (2017) and European Accounting Review (two papers in 2017). Over the past years, he has

successfully supervised 20 Ph.D. students.


Charles H. CHO (Professor)

Charles Cho is Professor of Accounting, the Erivan K. Haub Chair in Business & Sustainability and Director of the Centre of Excellence in Responsible
Business at the Schulich School of Business, York University. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting, a Master of Science in Accounting, and a
PhD in Business Administration (Accounting Track) from the University of Central Florida. He also worked for KPMG LLP and other public accounting
firms for several years in auditing and taxation. His research interests include Social and Environmental Accounting; Corporate Social Responsibility
(CSR); and Accounting and the Public Interest. Professor Cho has published papers in prestigious academic journals such as Accounting, Auditing and
Accountability Journal, Accounting, Organizations and Society, Critical Perspectives on Accounting, the European Accounting Review, and the Journal
of Business Ethics, and was an invited author of chapters in several books. His work has been presented at various national and international
conferences such as the American Accounting Association (AAA) Annual Meeting, the Canadian Academic Accounting Association (CAAA), the
European Accounting Association (EAA) Annual Congress and the International Congresses on Social and Environmental Accounting Research.


Haiyan Zhou (Professor)

Haiyan Zhou is a Professor of Accounting at the University of Texas-Rio Grande Valley, and its former institute University of Texas-Pan American (UTPA). Professor Zhou obtained a Ph.D. in accounting from Temple University. Professor Zhou has been teaching both undergraduate and graduate accounting
and auditing courses. She serves as the editor-in-chief of Asian Review Accounting, and as an editorial board member of International Accounting,
Auditing and Taxation. Some of her research appeared in top accounting and auditing journals, such as Journal of Contemporary Accounting and
Economics, Auditing: a Journal of Theory and Practice, Journal of Accounting, Auditing, and Finance, Journal of Accounting and Public Policy,
International Journal of Accounting, Journal of International Accounting, Auditing and Taxation, and Journal of International Financial Management and

Zabihollah Rezaee (Professor)

Zabihollah Rezaee is the Thompson-Hill Chair of Excellence, Ph.D. coordinator and Professor of Accountancy at the University of Memphis and has

served a two-year term on the Standing Advisory Group (SAG) of the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board (PCAOB). He received his BS

degree from the Iranian Institute of Advanced Accounting, his MBA from Tarleton State University in Texas, and his Ph.D. from the University of

Mississippi. Dr. Rezaee holds ten certifications, including Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), Certified Management

Accountant (CMA), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified Government Financial Manager (CGFM), Certified Sarbanes-Oxley Professional (CSOXP),

Certified Corporate Governance Professional (CGOVP), Certified Governance Risk Compliance Professional (CGRCP), Chartered Global Management

Accountant (CGMA) and Certified Risk Management Assurance (CRMA). He served as the 2012-2014 secretary of the Forensic Accounting (FIA)

Section of the American Accounting Association (AAA) and is currently serving on Auditing Standards Committee of the Auditing Section of the

AAA. Dr. Rezaee was one of the finalists for the position of the Faculty Trustee at the University of Memphis in 2016 and the Ombudsperson position

                                                               Saurav Dutta (Professor)
                                                                               Curtin University, Australia
Professor Saurav Dutta is the Head of School in the School of Accounting at Curtin University. Throughout his academic career spanning over 25 years,
he has engaged in high-impact research which has greatly informed industry practices, including his work on uncovering Lehman’s Repo 105
accounting practices. In the United States, he has influenced public policy in his role as an Academic Fellow in the Office of Chief Accountant at the
Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).  In that role, from 2010 to 2012, he helped implement the Dodd-Frank Act and other measures from
‘lessons learned’ during the 2007-08 global financial crisis.  He worked closely with then Chief Accountant, Mr. James Kroeker, who is currently the
Vice-Chairman of the Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB). While at the SEC, Saurav also served as a liaison with FASB, PCAOB, IASB
and IAASB, all of which are critical standard-setting bodies that affect the accounting profession.

Grantley Taylor (Professor)

Curtin University, Australia

Grantley Taylor currently holds the position of Deputy Head of School in the School of Accounting at Curtin University. Grantley has worked for three
major mining companies and the Australian Taxation Office prior to joining Curtin Business School. His research interest include: accounting as applied
to the extractive industry, taxation, corporate governance, financial instruments, capital markets and corporate social responsibility. His area of specialty
is in corporate tax avoidance. He has more than 30 refereed journal publications. Professor Grantley Taylor has a range of potential honours projects
and HDR projects available in areas such as: corporate taxation, corporate social responsibility, capital markets, corporate governance, financial
reporting and disclosure as applied to Australia, the U.S., China, and the GCC.

Glennda Scully ( Professor)

Curtin University, Australia)

Glennda Scully was the Head of the School of Accounting at Curtin University from 2008 to 2014. Glennda is a member of the Audit Advisory

Committee (National) of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand as well as several other associations. Having worked at the University of

Western Australia, BDO, the Bell Group and KPMG prior to joining Curtin University, Glennda has a wealth of academic and industry experience.

Glennda’s interests lie in the research of behavioural decision making in auditing, ethics and teaching and learning issues relating to workload,

accounting education, financial disclosure in developing economies, CSR reporting and the not-for profit sector. Glennda has more than 20 refereed

Tony Chong (Managing Partner)

A corporate and tax law specialist (with CPA and Tax Institute accreditation), Tony focuses on mid-market corporate advisory and mergers and
acquisitions. He has specialist knowledge in corporate, tax and fund structures, foreign investment issues, particularly from Asia (including FIRB), and
