On November 28, 2022, the Global Chinese Accounting Association Summit and British Accounting Review were grandly opened at Curtin 137 St George Terrace in Perth, West Australia.
The opening ceremony of the conference was chaired by Professor Grantley Taylor ofthe School of Accounting, Economics and Finance, Curtin University. Professor Grantley Taylor
Discipline Lead-Accounting School of Accounting, Economics and Finance, Curtin University Pro-Vice Chancellor, Faculty of Business and Law, Curtin University, Professor Vanessa Chang, Head of School,School of Accounting, Economics and Finance, Curtin University, Professor Therese Jefferson, and Chair, the Global Chinese Accounting Association (GCAA) Dr Ying Han Fan delivered welcome speeches at the opening ceremony.
Professor Wenxuan Hou, Joint-Editor, British Accounting Review, University of Edinburgh, UK and Professor Douglas Cumming, Editor-in-Chief, British Journal of Management, Florida Atlantic University, USA gave keynote speeches respectively at the conference.
The conference attracted scholars and industry experts from Australia, China, China-Hong Kong, Indonesia, Iran, New Zealand, the United States, and the United Kingdom. Doctorial students major in accounting and finance from several universities in Western Australia were also invited to participate in theconference.
